湖南省杰出青年基金获得者（2004）,西南铝教育奖励基金优秀教师奖（2016）。先后主持国家自然科学基金项目2项、主持湖南省杰出青年基金1项、主持中南大学教师基金1项、参与多项国家自然科学基金项目研究；发表科研论文70余篇。国家精品课程《医学分子生物学》主讲教师，教育部留学研究生《高级生物化学》英语精品课程主讲教师；参编教材12部，其中7部为医学本科生、研究生所用的人民卫生出版社出版的国家级规划教材；主持本科生、研究生教改项目多项；发表教改论文多篇。
